There are times when you wish to click a picture but couldn't do so because you didn't have a camera at that point of time. At times, you may want to listen to a particular song but couldn't do so because of lack of an mp3 player. All these problems can be avoided with these latest phones. You will obviously carry your phone all the time and thus all such problems will be solved automatically. You can thus use all its features effectively and that too at any time of the day.

Some up coming mobile phones which will have all these features are the Nokia N91 and Sony-Ericsson W950. The Nokia N91 has a 2MP camera, 4GB HDD and Symbian. It also has some PIM features. The unlocked version costs about $650. Its advantages lie in its excellent features.

They will cut down the iPod's business the day they become available for $400-$450. iPod Nano will be hit very badly. Currently, Nano (4 GB) costs around $250. So people wouldn't mind paying few more dollars for getting a device which has better features than Nano.

IPod's business is sure to suffer from next year onwards. It has to change itself or else it's bound to go down badly. The new convergence phones are sure to take over from the MP3 players.

However, Apple has always been a strong company with sound basics. So it may launch a device of its own with all the additional features. Apple may come up with new products in order to maintain its position in the market.

Apple has to come up with something great. It's partnership with Motorola did no good to the company. It had no affect on the music industry market. The Apple-Softbank tie up may come up with a good mp3 player cum phone.

The standalone mp3 players are going to crash badly in future.

iPod needs to evolve as a device. It should have some additional features like a camera in order to survive in the market. The competition is very tough and the device with the best features at the most affordable rate will be able to survive. So there are testing times ahead for the iPod!
