Apple iPod: It is definitely leading the market today. Since its launch, 15 million iPods have been sold. However the big question today is that will Apple iPod survive the test of time or will it become history like the Apple Macintosh? The real competition to the Apple iPod seems to be coming from the latest mobile phones. These phones are having built in music player, digital camera and loads of other features and this is what making them so popular. So Apple must introduce the iPod into the mobile phone industry.
A number of mobile phones today have all the features of a MP3 player. They have a camera too which is as good as any digital camera. Some of the mobile phones with these features are: - Siemens SX1 - Motorola MPx220 - Sony Ericsson W800i - Sony Ericsson P910i Sony Ericsson W800i has a very high quality digital camera (2 mega pixel). It also has video recording feature. It has a 512mb Memory Stick and an in built MP3 player. However the music player can hold only up to150 songs. To double the storage capacity, you can use a memory stick of 1 GB. So it's evident that Sony Ericsson W800i is no match to iPod when it comes to storage capacity. But it is still becoming popular and chances are that they just might increase its storage capacity. The mobile phones can play MP4 once they have a storage capacity of 60 GB. So then your mobile phone will be all in one. It will work as a phone, a digital camera, MP3 music player and MP4 video player!
